Christ the King Parish, Kubwa is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, under the pastoral leadership of His Grace Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama. We serve thousands of Catholic families across Kubwa and its environs.
A History of Faith & Growth
The Foundation
Christ the King Parish was established to serve the rapidly growing Catholic community in Kubwa, then a developing satellite town of Abuja.
Community Growth
The parish grew significantly as more families settled in Kubwa. Expanded Mass schedules and the formation of new societies followed.
Church Building
Construction of the permanent main church building was completed, giving the congregation a lasting home of worship.
Vibrant Ministries
Over 20 active societies and ministries were formed, serving parishioners across all age groups and professional backgrounds.
Digital Outreach
The parish embraced digital evangelization through live streaming of Sunday Masses on Facebook, reaching parishioners beyond the building.
Building for the Future
Groundbreaking of the Bishop Kaigama Multi-Purpose Hall — a landmark project to serve the community for generations to come.
